Custom Designs

These are the different steps we will take in order to create your dream garment! Whether it’s for an event, a core piece made for your wardrobe or an artist, I can make it happen. I am based in Los Angeles and would prefer if you can attend fittings here.

  1. Initial Consultation

Purpose: To understand your vision, style preferences, and design goals.
Includes: Discussion of project scope, design inspirations, and personal style.
    Duration: 30-60 minutes.

Let’s get to know eachother! I will schedule a consultation based on your availability that can be made in person or on Zoom. After getting in contact, we will discuss the custom design and ideas to get a feeling for the project and make sure we are on the same page.
  2. Design Consultation (400 USD)

Purpose: To create a bespoke design tailored specifically to your needs.
Includes: Brainstorming session, sketch review, fabric selection, and design modifications.

    – During our second consultation, I will present 5 sketches of ideas that we can adjust from there to make sure that your idea is reflected perfectly.
After our consultation, I will finalize the design and calculate a timeline and the cost for this project.

In this package, you will receive a custom design proposal, containing:
    – Five hand drawn sketches
    – Five flat digital sketches (front and back)
    – Mood board
    – Fabric swatches with trimming and any other detail

You will also be provided with a contract outlining a no-obligation price estimate for your design. The total fee for this process is $400. A 50% deposit is required before we proceed, with the remaining balance due on the day of the Design Consultation.

  3. Contract/Measurements

If you go forward after our design consultation, having accepted the quote proposal and decided to proceed with your garment, you will need to sign the contract and provide a 50% deposit.
Once the contract is signed and the deposit is received, we will refine and discuss any additional adjustments you may want before I begin draping and drafting your patterns.
I will also need to take your measurements to ensure that I’ve got everything I need for the drafting.

  4. First Fitting

During the first fitting, I will present the garment in a mock-up material. This is not what the final piece will look like, this is only so that we can try it on and ensure that the fit is good.
Once you try it on, I will pin and adjust everything while you wear it to make sure that it’s just how you’d like it.
  5. Additional Fittings

Once our first fitting is done, I will make all of the changes in the custom pattern I have drafted for you. In this step, we can tweak any last or additional details and work together to make sure that this garment is exactly what you’d like.

  6. Last Touches (materials)

After our additional fittings, I will know how much fabric we need and will purchase the material you picked. If you decide to change the material or make additions, this will be added to the final invoice.

  7. Final Fitting

Your garment will be more or less done at this point, we are just going to do last minute checks and smaller adjustments if needed.

  8. Pick Up

Your garment is ready for pick up! It can be picked up or I can send it for an extra charge if needed.
